Today was early dismissal day. Here's how our morning went!
CENTRES
Today was day 2 of centres. We shared completed and shared our interest and reading inventories in guided reading. All centre activites will be due on Sept. 19. Below is a list of week one centre activities:
Math 6B
Assignments were handed back and students completed some expanded form practice on their white boards during this short period.
SOCIAL 6B
Map Skills, Continental Quest, was due today. We corrected this as a class. Students were given their second map skills of the year. This will be due on Sept. 21. It is taking some time to get used to working with our atlas, so these "quick" activities are taking some time to complete. It will get easier!!! Finally we started our first topic of study, "Globes and the Earth". Students were asked to answer 4 questions. Most finished this during class time.
