Homework:
Place Value assignment: #5-17
ELA 6B
Students had time to type their writing assignment "My Fears and Excitements" Students that were done had time to work on "All the Right Type". These assignments are due on Wednesday at 3:30. I will give some time Wednesday during period 5 to work on this, but if you need more than 30 minutes, you should use RTI time or lunch hours to complete this.
Math 6B
Practice Problem 71 and the Operations Review were due today. It was disappointing to have so many students that were NOT done their homework! These students spent noon hour finishing their homework.
We began our unit on place value today. Students have a homework assignment (#1-17) due for tomorrow!
Social 6A (6B had Science with Mrs. Unchulenko - check her blog for details)
Students worked on their first map skills of the year, "Continental Quest." It is due on Wednesday, September 12. We then started our first topic of study, "Globes and the Earth". Students are to have the questions done on page 2 of the booklet.
Self-Portraits
Students created a self-portrait using graphite and a photo of themselves. They did a fantastic job of replicating the photos!
RTI
Students worked on their math assignment, the map skills that is due on Thursday, or the science assignment given today. Five students had teacher passes. We completed an activity on following directions and then worked on the math assignment.
French 6B
Je m'appelle....Comment t'appelles tu?.....and Comment vous appelez-vous? were reviewed orally and in written form.
Comment ça va? was introduced. Students learned the question and the possible reponses. A handout was given, but it was not assigned as homework.
