Friday, September 7 - Day 4

Well it has been a very busy "Back to School" week.  I hope everyone is feeling comfortable and settled!   Please don't hesitate to contact me if you have any questions or concerns.

Homeroom/Housekeeping Items
Student fees, caution fees, picture forms and Student information forms were due today.  ANY STUDENTS THAT HAVE NOT HANDED IN THEIR FORMS AND FEES MUST DO SO AT THE OFFICE!!!

ELA 6B
Today's class was spent orienting ourselves to the computer lab.  Students were given their user name and passwords, they learned to change their passwords, they were introduced to the keyboarding program,  "All the Right Type" and began typing their Writing assignment, "Fears and Excitements".  We will work on this some more on Monday.

MATH 6B
Class started with a "multiplication conditioning".  Students then had time to work on  the math operation review.  At 10:40, students entered their answers using the "Senteo Response System".  If students did not get donethe Math Operation Review, they must complete this for homework.  Also, the problem solver must be completed for Monday.

Assembly
A school assembly was held during period three.  Principal's List awards were given to students in grades 7-11 for their academic performance last year.  Prizes were also awarded to students from each grade.  Congratulations to our 6B winners!  The assembly ended with a frozen treat for every student!  Thank you to Mrs. Parsons and the Sr. ESA for planning this "Back to School" celebration.
