Notes/Reminders for Today
- Math Test AT NOON TODAY FOR STUDENTS THAT MISSED THE TEST ON FRIDAY.
- A band intention form was sent home on Friday with students. PLEASE COMPLETE AND RETURN THIS FORM TOMORROW! (It was due today)
- Grade 6 students will be helping with town clean up on Monday May 14 with an alternate day of May 25. Permission slips will be coming home shortly.
- SHOWCASE FORMS WERE DUE FRIDAY Today was the last call. If your form was not brought it, you will not be registered!!!
- Please bring $5.00 to cover the cost of the tri-fold board that will be used in our social Cultural Fair

Students completed day 3 of cycle 19 centres today. A summary of the centres is listed below.

We had a brief introduction of our new math unit on fractions, ratio and percent. Students watched a video on mixed and improper fractions. The link is posted below.
Period Three -French 6A (6B had Phys.Ed with Ms. Chewka)
We finished our review of er verbs correcting the review sheet that was due for today. Some students were not done the translations, so this needs to be completed and handed in!!!
Students were taught how to conjugate ir verbs. The process for conjugating ir verbs is EXACTLY THE SAME AS ER VERBS, except the endings change. Students were given an example page. ALL THREE PAGES WERE ASSIGNED FOR HOMEWORK - DUE WEDNESDAY, MAY 3!
Period Four - Social 6B
Students continued their research for their heritage fair. For next class, students should be done their map, food and shelter. They were introduced to male roles today. There will be time to complete this next day.

RTI - Students used RTI time to complete centre activities, finish the CWE assignment that is due on Thursday, complete the French ER verb page due tomorrow, redo their creative writing centre if requested, work on research for their Social project, practice their narration of their PhotoStory or read independently.

Period Grade 6 Band with Mrs. Hearn
- Oral Speaking practice - students shared the name and location of their tribe with the rest of the class to practice good presentation skills.
- Students had time to complete their map and their food research. Both of these are due on Tuesday, May 1.
Don't forget to bring $5 to cover the cost of the Tri-fold board.
