Period One: MACABO Presentation
Students were treated to a phenomenal performance by Motus O. Thank you to the Jr. ESA for bringing them to our school!
Period Two - Math
We corrected the assignment
that was due today on multiplying decimals.
We will continue to work on this concept during RTI time this week.
We worked on dividing
decimals today. Students reviewed the
repeated subtraction strategy and then were shown long-division. We will continue to work on this for the rest
of the week.
Period 3 - Social/French 6A (6B had Phys. Ed with Ms. Chewka)
French calendars were returned to students today. The next few classes will be devoted to learning how to conjugate verbs. Today, we reviewed the process for conjugating –er verbs. Students conjugated the verb, “parler (to speak)” and then completed a fill in the blank page for the verb, “habiter (to live”) This is due on Friday, April 20.
Period Four – Social 6B
Students handed in
their centre activities today and shared their spelling discovery. MAKE SURE YOU GET THESE HANDED IN IF YOU WERE ABSENT OR IF YOU LEFT THEM
AT HOME!!!!!!
Current Events that
were due before the break were returned to students. We will not be doing a current event package
this month.
Students were
introduced to the social project that they will be working on over the next 6
weeks. Students are researching a
pre-contact indigenous group and are preparing a cultural fair display to share
in our cultural fair that will be held at the end of May. Students are asked to bring $5.00 to cover
the cost of a tri-fold board.
