This was Day 2 of Cycle 17 centres. An overview of the centres can be found on the blog posting for Tuesday, March 20. Guided reading will continue to focus on our Mission Book Club info fiction graphic novels. Students are looking at various reading strategies. ALL CENTRE ACTIVITIES ARE DUE ON WEDNESDAY, MARCH 29.
10:30 - 11:10 - Math 6B
1. Textbook assignment #11-14 was due today.
2. Students were given time to work on their hand-in assignment on multiplying decimals. There will be 10 minutes to complete this tomorrow.
11:15-12:15 - Phys. Ed. 6B with Ms. Chewka
1:20 - 2:20 - Career Ed - Dream Big
This afternoon, we were visited by a guest speaker, Mrs. Weinheimer from the Parkland college came today to make a presentation. She spoke with us about the difference between wishes and dreams and how we need to set and monitor goals to make sure our dreams are realized. She even shared a dream of her own which we hope to hear an update on in the upcoming grade 7 year!
