- The March Newsletter was handed out today. It contains important information regarding a change to the timetable which will be effective April16. All periods will be shortened by 5 minutes to accomodate for a 25 minute RTI (Response to Intervention) period each afternoon. NOON HOUR WILL NOW BE FROM 11:57 - 12:57.
- All incomplete assignments MUST be handed in promptly. Students know what needs to be completed.
- Ms. Chewka has sent home a note regarding the Standards Track Meet which will be held on April 25 in Yorkton. The forms need to be handed back by Monday, April 2
- Current Events are due on Wednesday, April 4
- French Calendars are due on Wednesday, April 4
9:00 - 10:30 - Centres
This was Day 2 of Cycle 18 centres. An overview of the centres can be found on the blog posting for Wednesday, March 28. Guided reading will continue to focus on our Mission Book Club info fiction graphic novels. Students are will continue to identify various reading strategies they use in their reading. ALL CENTRE ACTIVITIES ARE due on April 16.
10:30 - 11:10 - Math
Math Homework was handed in today. If you were absent please hand this in. (Calculating Products)
We began our study of decimals. We reviewed the division strategy of repeated substraction. Students will learn a couple more strategies before we add the decimsl
11:15-12:15 - Phys Ed. 6B with Ms. Chewka
Students worked on their decision making skits in this writing period.
1:20 - 2:20 - Math 6B
1. Students had time to work on their current events which are due on April 4.
2. We corrected the map skills that was due today, "A Closer Look at Asia"
3. The rest of the class was spent talking about our First Nations Heritage Fair which we will begin after the holidays.
2:25 - 3:25 - Gender Wars Winners'Party
The girls went to the gym to watch "Big Bang Theory" while the boys stayed in our homeroom and got caught up/worked on upcoming assignments. Way to go girls! Good working class boys!!
