Friday, March 2 - Day 6

Activity Day is Tuesday, March 6.

If you are skiing or snowboarding, you need to be at school by 7:45 as the bus is leaving at 8:00 am.  Buses will return to the school at 6:00 pm.  Buses for all other activities (tubing, swimming) will leave the school at 9:00 am and return at 3:30.

Please remember to dress appropriately!  (It is going to be wet, so you may want to bring extra gear!)

Period One- Pennies for Telemiracle

What students won't do to get out of work!  Today the ESA organized a Telemiracle Fundraiser that required teachers to roll ALL pennies students brought in BEFORE they could begin class.  6B kept me busy for the entire first period.  I rolled 3300 pennies (with some help).  Way to go class!
Our school raised $619. 50 in pennies (that's almost 62 000 pennies!).
The Jr. Gender Wars raised $589. 73 (the girls raised $320.59 and the boys raised $260.14).  It looks like the girls will be attending the "winners" party next week!
Our school total (which includes the Sr. Gender wars) reached almost $1600.00.  What an amazing accomplishment EHS.

Period Two Math 6B
We continued our study of decimal place value today.  Students have a good understanding of tenths, hundredths and thousanths.  A decimals handout page (decimal place value) was assigned.  This is homework for Monday.  Most students finished during class time.  Another handout on tenths and hundredths was started.  Students will have a few minutes to complete this on Monday.

To review the concept of decimal place value, visit the following web-site.  You must go to LESSONS and then PLACE VALUE to view the correct video.
