MATH 6B
Equivalent decimals, comparing decimals and ordering decimals booklet was corrected together. We looked at estimating products and quotients using front end rounding, decimal benchmarks and compatible numbers. The textbook assignment was given but not assigned for homework. Students will have time to complete this tomorrow (page 94 #`-7)
SOCIAL 6A
Students worked on their Atlantic Country Map Assignment. The assignment requires students to list a minimum of 20 countries from the list provided. Countries should be labelled in all capital letters, and only the countries that are labelled need to be coloured.
Students were also assigned their countries and shown how they will use cycle 13 centres to create their outline map.
READING BUDDIES
Students were invited to the PPEP room to listen to "Linda the Loud Librarian" talk about how to read a story to children. This was followed by our regular reading time. The period concluded with students listening to our read aloud, "The Amazing ISS."
