Practice Problem 77 - solve the problem tomorrow.  We will finish the communicate and connect tomorrow!

ELA

Centres are due on January 21.  (Don't forget about the comprehension journal activities)
"My Favourite Place" -students will have one more class after today.

Map Skills - 6A due Tuesday, January 22 ; 6B due Tuesday, Jan 15

Latitude/Longitude Booklet - 6B - page 13 znd 14 are due on Thursday and the entire booklet is due on Monday, January 21.  6A - page 13 and 14 are due on Wednesday and the entrie booklet is due on Friday, Jan. 18
Latitude and Longitude TEST - 6A - Jan. 22; 6B - Jan. 23

HEALTH

"Football Bowl" - first 2 pages are due on January 15

Today was Day 1 of Cycle 11 centres.  If you were absent, please pick up the centres you missed. All centre activities are due on January 21.  Also, TWO comprehension journal activities are due by January 29.

MATH 6B
Problem Solving continued today.  We  are focussing on the strategy "Make an Organized List".  Students had time to work on Practice Problem 77.  The solution is due tomorrow.  We will work on the communication, connection and extension tomorrow!

SOCIAL 6A

 

1. "A Closer Look at Africa" was due today.  "A Closer Look at Australia" was assigned for homework.  It is due on January 22..
2. Page 13 and 14 of the latitude and longitude booklet were assigned. This will be due on Wed. Jan. 16. The book in its entirety will be due on Friday and students will have a latitude/longitude test on Tuesday, January 22.
3. Current Events-don't forget they are due on January 22!

READING BUDDIES/MATH 6B
Students had reading buddies for the first 1/2 of the class.  The last half was spent working on the math problem that we worked on this morning.

WRITING

Students began typing their descriptive writing assignments on their "Favourite Place."  They are being extremely thoughtful about their word choice.
