After a "break" from centres, students started cycle 10 centres. All centre activities are due on Friday, January 11. A "Mission Space" book club is the focus of guided reading this month.

Multiplication conditioning began the class. We continued our multiplication review. Page 20 of the booklet was corrected, several multiplication examples were modelled and practiced and then students were assigned pages 21 and 22 of the review.

WRITING
A new writing assignment was introduced to students today. "My Favorite Place" is a descriptive writing piece that will focus on descriptive word choice and sentence variety. Students began brainstorming their thoughts on an idea web. This will continue on day 5.
