Wednesday, September 19 - Day 6

STUDENTS SHOULD BE COMING HOME EVERY NIGHT WITH THEIR AGENDAS AND HOMEWORK FOLDERS. ALL IMPORTANT NOTES AND HOMEWORK ARE KEPT IN THESE. PLEASE TAKE TIME TO CHECK THEM OUT!  There were quite a few students that were in at noon today because their homework wasn't done........
 
Reminders:
 Immunization forms went home with students on Friday. These must be returned by September 20.  (TOMORROW)

Math Homework:  Comparing and ordering numbers assignment:  Page 10 #1-18 - this was due today.  If you did not complete it, make sure it is done.  The problem solver is also due tomorrow.
 
Social Homework: Map Skills 6B: Continental Quest is due tomorrow. 6A: Oceans of Information is due on Sept. 20.

Terry Fox Reading Package:  This is due Friday. Sept 21

ELA
The first half of the class was spend handing in centres, sharing spelling discoveries and listening to our read aloud.  Cycle 2 centres were introduced during the second half of the period.  ALL CENTRES HAVE BEEN COMPLETED AND HANDED IN!!!!

MATH 6B
The assignment on comparing and ordering numbers (page 10 #1-18) was due today.  Yikes!  there were 7 students not done:( 

The problem solving strategy, "Make or Use a Table" was continued today.  A problem was modelled for students and then they worked through it independently.  This is due tomorrow!

 
SOCIAL 6B
Students had 1/2 the class to complete the problem solver from math class and work on current events.  The last half of the class was spent discussing the questions from our globes and the earth booklet that were due.  Students also completed pages 3 and 4 of the booklet, which discussed the definition of a map.  DON'T FORGET MAP SKILLS IS DUE ON FRIDAY!!!!

RTI
Students worked on their current events, math homework, the Terry Fox reading package and map skills. Teacher passes were given to students working on writing numbers from expanded to standard form.
