Wednesday, June 20 - Day 3

Notes/Reminders for Today

  • Mrs. Hearn had to cancel the grade 6 band recruitment at Gillen on Friday, June 22. Many students were disappointed in the cancellation, so we have decided to make the trip to Carlton Trail anyway and make this a grade 6 trip. We will leave the school at 10:30, enjoy swimming, games and a barbeque and return to the school by 3:15. PLEASE BRING YOUR $5 TO YOUR HOMEROOM TEACHER!!!!!

  • Upcoming Assignments:

    • Poetry Slam - poem needs to be memorized by tomorrow. Performace will be June26

    • Ma Famille Project - Presentations June 26 and 17

  • If you are going to be away next week, please email me your Ma Famille project by June 26 and be prepared to do your poetry slam on Thursday, June 21.


Period 1 - ELA 6B
Students had this class to work on their Poetry Slam presentations.  Poems were to be memorized today. Students worked in small groups assessing one another's presentations.  The poetry slam will be held on June 26 during period 5! 
Period 2 - Math 6B

A review of naming angles and measuring angles was done.  Students then had time to complete the following assignment on measuring angles.

Textbook assignment on page 136 - #1, 2, 3, 4, 6, 9

Period Three -French 6b
Students worked on their Ma Famille Project in the library lab. This was their last class to work on the project.  Students that are not going to the Gallagher centre on Monday will have some time to complete this.

Period Four and Five - Social Studies Heritage Fair

Hats off to ALL of you for a job well done!!!!  You exceeded my expectations and I am so very proud of all of you!  It was a fantastic afternoon!!!!!
