Notes/Reminders for Today

• Please bring your $5 for the tri-fold boards. Students will begin designing their social presentations over the next few classes.
• French Test Today!
• Awards Program will be held on Thursday afternoon
• 6A - YOU HAVE A FRENCH TEST TOMORROW!!!!!

9:00 - 10:45 Centres

Today was "Day 4" of cycle 21 centres. Students listened to chapter 14 and 15 of The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe in guided reading. Fountas and Pinnell testing is also being conducted during centre time this cycle. Below is an overview of this week's centres.

10:45 - 11:00 - Video Clips

Due to technological issues, the video clips we created yesterday for grade 6 orientation were deleted (operator error), so the students were so kind as to do it again.  Thanks Grade 6!!!!

Period Three - French 6B

Students wrote their French test on conjugating regular er, ir, and re verbs.

Period Four - Math 6B

Comparing Mixed Numbers and Improper Fractions Hand-in corrections were made.  Students now have a better understanding of comparing mixed numbers and improper fractions..

We continued our study of Ratio.  After the lesson on part to part and part to whole ratios was given, students completed a handout on the concept. 

Period Five - Social 6A

Many students have completed their research and are working hard on their presentation, typing up their notes and finding pictures for their display. Students will have 2-3 more classes to complete this. We are looking forward to our heritage fair!    A date will be determined very shortly.  Please remember to bring the $5 for the Tri-fold board. Students will need their tri-fold boards within the next two or three classes!
