Students wrote the RAD final assessment today.  This assessment helps students and teachers learn more about their reading skills and strategies.  If you were absent, this will need to be completed on your return.
Period Two -Housekeeping/Math

Several assignments were handed back to students.  Students also worked on the French assignment due in period three and completed any incomplete assignments.  We spent the last part of the class working on the math assignment on comparing mixed numbers and improper fractions.

Period Three -French

The RE verb sheet that was due today was corrected together.  Students handed in the fill in the blank page along with their translations.  Two review pages were given as homework.  Students have put their knowledge of ER, IR AND RE verbs to the test.  All 3 pages are homework for Friday!

Period Four - Math

Students will be completing a Problem Solving Benchmark assessment on Friday.  Today, we worked through one problem together to review.  We discussed the importance of communicating our work, using math language and making connections and extensions.

Keep working on your text assignment from Friday - "Comparing Mixed Numbers and Improper Fractions" - THIS WILL BE DUE ON FRIDAY!!!!!

Period Five - Social 6A (6B had science with Ms. Smart - check her blog for details)

Students worked on completing their research on culture and began their research on clothing. Research on culture is due for next class (Thursday). Thanks to the students that have brought $5 for the tri-fold board. Please get this in as soon as possible. As we complete our research, students will begin creating their presentation! We only have 1 or 2 more research classes.
