Today was Day 2 of centres. All centres activities will be due on Monday March 12. If you were absent, your centre activities will be attached to your homework package. A description of this week's centres can be found on Monday's blog. (March 5)
10:35-11:10- Career Work Experience
Students made a chart today that identified their "Here and Now Decisions" and their "Future Decisions". Each side had to have 3 entries. We discussed these as a class. Finally, students ranked themselves on continuim identifying their desire to "take charge of their life".
11:15 - 12:15 - French 6B
Students had time to finish working on the "weather cards" These were due at the end of class. If you were absent, the weather card is attached to your homework package. Please complete this for homework. The rest of the class was a "calendar catch-up" Students need to have all required information entered on the calendar before next French class.
1:20 - 2:20 - Math 6B
Question 1 and 2 of the textbook (page 90) were due today. We corrected this together. The remainder of the class was devoted to completing the textbook assignment. Page 90 and 91 #3-6 and 8-10 are homework for tomorrow! Please ensure you complete this, grade 6. You will not understand the concept of decimal place value if you neglect to do the assignment!
2:25-3:25 - Social 6B
Students had social today to make up for missed classes due to activity day and staff meeting.
Several assignments were handed back to students today. These papers were filed in the appropriate sections of their social binders.
Today was the last call for current events. Unfortunately, some students neglected to complete these.
Students were assigned a map skills, "A Closer Look at South America". It is due on Wednesday, March 14.
We finished watching the video, "A Solemn Understanding" - students completed their "while viewing" questions, while viewing the video. If you were absent, there is a photocopy of the answers attached to your homework package.
