Ms. Smart and I were away at an inservice on Tuesday, so I did not get a chance to post my blog.  Here's what the students did while we were away.

9:00 - 10:30 - Centres
This was Day 1 of Cycle 16 centres.  An overview of the centres can be found on the blog posting for Monday, March 12.  ALL CENTRE ACTIVITIES ARE DUE ON TUESDAY, MARCH 20.

10:30 - 11:10 - Math 6B
Students worked on the textbook assignment on Estimating Products and Quotients. (Page 94 #1-6).  It was not assigned as homework.

11:15-12:15 - Catch Up Class 6B
Students had this class to work on the following assignments:
1.  Descriptive Writing - "My Favourite Place"  - this, along with the editing checklist is due at the end of the period.
2.  French Calendar - students should have ALL required information entered on their calendar by next French class which is Wednesday.
3.  Current Events - students were given a current events package on Monday.  This package is due on April 4.
4.  Math assignment from last class.
5.  Incomplete centre activities.

1:20 - 2:20 - Reading Buddies and Read Aloud
Students read to their reading buddies for the first half of the class.  They returned to the class and listened to the read aloud, "The Amazing ISS". 

2:25 - 3:25 - Social 6A (6B had Science with Ms. Bartake)
1.  Map Skills - A Closer Look at South America was corrected together.  Four Letter Geography was assigned.  It is due on Wednesday, March 21.
2.  A few minutes was given for current events.  Please note that this will be due on April 4, not March 30 as indicated on the assignment sheet!
3.  Students started a writing assignment on the benefits of treaty.  They were given an outline of the required paragraphs and began typing their introduction.
