Period One - ELA 6B
Today was a "Day of Pink" Our period one class was devoted to a disucussion and video viewing on bullying. We discussed the importance of treating eveyone kindly, and the damage caused by bullying.
Period Three - French 6A (6B had Phys. Ed with Ms. Chewka)
We reviewed the vocabulary for weather.
Period Two Math 6B
Students completed a multiplication benchmark and then worked through Problem Solver 17 which used the "Work Backwards" strategy.Period Three - French 6A (6B had Phys. Ed with Ms. Chewka)
We reviewed the vocabulary for weather.
Students then learned about the French seasons and completed a handout which identified the four seasons and the weather associated with each season.
We then moved to the computer lab where students entered the weather and seasons onto their calendars. Students must have 2 weather descriptors for each month (using at least 10 different weather terms) and must identify the day on which each season begins. (For example, on March 20 they would write Le printemps commence)
Period Four - Social 6B
Students had time to work on their current events packages. These are due on Friday, March 2.
Students watched the video, "A Solemn Understanding" and completed a question booklet associated with the video.
