Thank you to the HITS group for bringing in Don Cochrane who shared his research on homophobia in Saskatchewan schools.
Students finished their "Explore" activity on prime and composite numbers, identifying all the arrays that can be made with 2 - 20 smarties. They discovered that prime numbers are numbers for which they could only make one rectangle. (numbers that only have 2 factors (1 and itself)) and composite numbers are numbers for which two or more rectangles could be made (numbers that have 3 or more factors).
Period Three - French 6A (6B had Phys. Ed.)
This was the last class to work on the present a person assignment. Students will present their classmates on Friday, Nov. 25.
Period Four - Social 6A (6B had Science - check Ms. Smart's blog for details)Current events - students had time to work on their current events package. Just a reminder that this is due on December 1.
Celebrating People and Places - we finished reading the story "Vinicius: Game Plan" Students finished filling in the KWL chart and started working on questions. There will be time to complete this on Wednesday.
