Our Day in a Nutshell

Period 1 - MATH 6B
1.  Bell work
2. Mad minute
2.  Cartesian plane - students rotated through the following three review centers:
            - we finished correcting yesterday's text assignment
            - students wrote an exit slip
4. Drawing the Graph of a Pattern - students made connections to a table of values and a graph.  They learned how to describe the relationship shown on a graph and how a graph represents a pattern.  A booklet was assigned for homework.

Period 2 - FRENCH 6B/6A
1. Les mois de l'annee quiz
2. Students were introduced to "Les Fetes" (holidays)

Period 3 - ELA
1. Cycle 9 Center Introduction - students were given new center groups and maps and were introduced to cycle 9 centers that will begin tomorrow.
2. PERSONAL NARRATIVE WRITING - students finished their third body paragraph, watched the teaching video on how to write their conclusion and then finished their narratives.  The first draft of these is due Thursday, Jan. 9


 Period 4 - SCIENCE 6B
1. Reset
2.  The Solar System
    -students discussed the videos that were watched last day
    - we learned the difference between a solar system, galaxy and universe
    - we began our look at the sun

 Period 5 - GRADE 6 BAND
