OUR DAY IN A NUTSHELL

Period One - ELA
Bridge to Terabithia questions and vocabulary for chapter 3 and 4 were discussed.
Students handed in their Jess Aarons web and then completed a handin page on figurative language.  We began reading chapter 5.

Period Two - FRENCH 6B
We continued our look at the months of the year.
Students worked through the booklet (it is due on Friday), added the months to their reference page and practised saying the months of the year. 
The calendar project was introduced to students.  They will add the months of the year and days of the week to their calendars next class.

Period Three - Math 6

3. Patterns from Tables - the text assignment from yesterday was corrected.  Students had 10 minutes to complete the second hand in page

4. Using Variables to represent a patter - STUDENTS WERE INTRODUCED TO ALGEBRA!  Students wrote expressions using a variable to represent the pattern in a table of values.
 

Period Four - SOCIAL 6B

Students had time to work on their current events assignment and their landform project.  Today was a working class.
