Monday, April 15, - Day 6

IMPORTANT:
Students travel to the Standards Track Meet in Yorkton tomorrow.  The buses will be departing at 8:45, so be sure to be at school early tomorrow!
We have asked that students wear a black shirt tomorrow, if they have so that we can represent our school as a "team".


HOMEWORK:
 
MATH
Extra Practice 8 is due on Wednesday
Test - Thursday, April 18 - (Fractions, Ratio and Percent)  Students can be working on the review (found on page 194 of the text) if they would like to get ahead.
ELA
No Homework unless you were one of the students that was not done their centres today....

SOCIAL
Map Skills - 6A is due on April 18 - 6B is due on April 17


FRE NCH
French ER verb poster is due on Thursday, April 18 

HEALTH

OUR DAY IN A NUTSHELL......
ELA
Students handed in Cycle 18 centres.  Unfortunately, there were several students that did not have their   Cycle 19 centres were introduced. These will begin on Wednesday.  We finished the class of with the sharing of our "Writing Round" stories from Friday.
MATH 6B
Class began with a celebration assembly for the senior girls' curling team.  The girls were honoured and recognized for this amazing accomplishment.
After the assembly, the text assignment (page 192) on relating fractions, decimals and percents was corrected together. Students then worked on extra practice 8 - THIS IS DUE ON WEDNESDAY. When they were done, students could begin the review (page 194 of the text).

SOCIAL 6B
 Students wrote a climate quiz.

Then they handed in their Mali in the Crossfire assignment and their Atlantic Country Climate Booklet.  Once this was done students had a choice to complete math from our short period 2 or work on the April Current Event

Grade 6 Band

NOTE:  Because grade 6 students are at the Standards Track Meet tomorrow, report cards were issued to students today.  I look forward to meeting with parents at interviews this week!
