Tuesday, March 5 - Day 1

HOMEWORK:
MATH
Textbook page 168 #7-11 AND Extra Practice 2 are due tomorrow.
ELA
Centres - Cycle 16 are due on Monday, March 11.
Sentence Fluency book up to page 88 was due today!

 SOCIAL
Map Skills - 6A is due on March 13 - 6B is due on March 6
Idle No More - 6A Question AND Editorial cartoons are due on Thursday, March 7. 6B is due on Friday, March 8.

HEALTH
No Homework

FRENCH
Students are working on their calendar projects. There won't be any more class time provided. This will be due on March 7. As well there will be a calendar test on March 7. Students were given a French outline last week.

OUR DAY IN A NUTSHELL......

ELA
Students began cycle 16 centres due today. ALL CENTRE ACTIVITIES are due on Monday, March 11. Keep working on the independent reading activities as well!

HEALTH 6B
Students continued working on the unit on transmission of incurable infections.  Students were assigned a reading and questions on HIV and AIDS facts.

SOCIAL 6A
Students were assigned a map skills, "A Closer Look at Asia" This is due March 11.
We then continued to look at climate - we viewed the video again while students summarized the factors that affect climate and the ways climate influences lifestyle.
Don't forget that the current event story, "Idle No More" questions and editorial cartoon are due on Thursday.

MATH 6B
Mad Minute kicked off the class.  We continued our look at improper fractions and mixed numbers.  We corrected the textbook assignment that was due today (page 168 #1-6).  STudents had time to complete the textbook assignment (#7-11) and work on Extra Practice 2.  BOTH OF THESE ARE DUE TOMORROW.

WRITING 6B
Students worked in 3 centres today.
1.  Typing poem "Yesterday/Tomorrow"
2.  Finishing/Editing the poem in Mrs. Helmeczi's room
3.  Correcting sentence fluency packet (pg. 83-88) with Mrs. Unchulenko.


The POEM NEEDS TO BE TYPED, EDITED AND HANDED IN BY FRIDAY, MARCH 8!!!
