OUR DAY IN A NUTSHELL......

Students shared their performances of "The Tiger's Whisker" .  Well done, Grade 6.

MATH 6B
The homework assignment on comparing mixed numbers and improper fractions was corrected today.  If students were not done, or did not have it at school, they were required to redo the assignment.  Through correcting the assignment, students reinforced their strategy preference for comparing.  Some choose equivalent fractions with common denominators, some choose placing the numbers on a number line while other prefer to draw pictures.  It's so exciting to see our different "math" brains at work.

SOCIAL 6A
Idle No More -   The booklet in its entirety is due on March 25.

Map Skills - "Geography ABC's" is due on March 21
We then continued our study of climate. Students were introduced to a climograph assignment.  The have received a climograph of their Atlantic country  and are working through some questions and activities related to the city.  If you were absent, the booklet is attached to your homework package.  We completed the first 4 pages together.
