Monday, February 4 - Day 3

TODAY WAS REPORT CARD DAY!!!!!!

HOMEWORK:
MATH
Multiplying Decimals - back page of the first practice sheet and ONE page of the second handout are due tomorrow!!!
ELA
Centres - ALL CENTRE ACTIVITIES ARE DUE ON FEBRURAY 7.

SOCIAL
Country Fact Page - this is not homework. Students will have 1 more class to work on this.

HEALTH
No Homework

FRENCH
Students are working on their calendar projects. Months, days and holidays MUST be entered.

ELA
Today was Day 3 of Cycle 13 centres. ALL CENTRE ACTIVITIES ARE DUE ON FEBRUARY 7. If you were absent you must collect the centres you missed. A list of this weeks centres can be found below!






HEALTH/HOUSEKEEPING 6B
Health tests were handed back today.  Several ELA, Math and health assignments were handed back to students and filed the appropriate binder.  A parent letter regarding our new unit on HIV/AIDS went home with students today. Please review and contact Mrs. Helmeczi or Mrs. Unchulenko if you have questions or concerns.  JANUARY homework heroes were awarded as well.  congratulations to ALL students who have demonstrated such a strong homework ethic!  You should be proud of yourselves!!!A
SOCIAL 6B
Students had time to work on their country fact sheet today.  There will be a bit of time to complete this on Wednesday.
 



MATH 6B
A mad minute kicked of math class today.  Students participated in a "commit and toss" activity to review their understanding of multiplying decimals.  Students then split into two groups:
Group 1 went with Mrs. Unchulenko, corrected the multiplying decimal practice that was due today and continued working on the practice sheets.  HOMEWORK:  Both sides of the first handout.  ONE SIDE of the second handout.
Group 2 stayed with Mrs. Helmeczi and watched a video on representing the multiplication of decimals using base 10 blocks.  Students practised this on the Smartboard.  The video is linked below!

Students continued working on their "Le Calendrier" project in the computer lab.  Months, days, holidays and birthdays must be entered.
