Tuesday, January 22 - Day 1

ACTIVITY DAY INTENTION FORMS WENT HOME WITH STUDENTS TODAY.  STUDENTS ARE TO FILL THESE IN AND RETURN BEFORE NEXT WEDNESDAY.  DO NOT SEND MONEY AT THIS TIME.  WE ONLY NEED THE FORM FOR NOW FOR BOOKING TRANSPORTATION AND FACILITIES! 

HOMEWORK:

MATH

Textbook assignment is due tomorrow!!

ELA

Centres are due on January 29.  This includes 2 comprehension journal activities.  Many students have NOT handed any in yet!!!

SOCIAL

6A:  NO HOMEWORK if you were done your current events and map skills today!

6B:  You have a map skills due tomorrow.  You also have a TEST tomorrow!!!
 

HEALTH
Decision making test will be January 30.  Students are working on preparing their study guide.... 

FRENCH

page 2,3,4 of the weather booklet is due on January 24

OUR DAY IN A NUTSHELL......

ELA

Today was Day 1 of Cycle 12 centres.   All centre activities are due on January 29. Also, TWO comprehension journal activities are due by January 29.

HEALTH 6B
Students were given a test review for the decision making test that has been scheduled for January 30.  PART OF THE TEST MARK WILL BE FOR HAVING A STUDY GUIDE PREPARED....  We worked on this today and will also work on this next health class.

SOCIAL 6A

1. "A Closer Look at Australia" was due today.  NO NEW MAP SKILLS WAS ASSIGNED!!!
2. CURRENT EVENTS WAS DUE TODAY.  Any students that were not done need to get this in ASAP!!!
3. Students wrote their latitude and longitude test.  If you were absent, you will write this next day.

 

MATH 6B
 Students then handed in BLM 50/51 which was due.  We reviewed the concept of decimal place value and the different forms to write a number (standard, expanded, written).  Students were given the following textbook assignment.  ONLY 1-6 ARE DUE TOMORROW!!!! 
90 and 91 #1-6, 8-10

Students shared their descriptive writing pieces, "My Favourite Place".  What a pleasure to hear!  So many students truly took us to their place......
