ELA 6B

Today was "Day 3" of Cycle 7 Centres. All centre activities are due on Friday, November 9. DON'T FORGET THAT YOU ALSO NEED TO HAVE 3 COMPREHENSION JOURNAL ACTIVITIES COMPLETED AS WELL. Below is an overview of Cycle 7 centres.

 HEALTH 6B
This was a bit of a housekeeping class. We spent the last part of the class talking about positive influences on our decision making.

SOCIAL 6A

October Current Events were returned to students. Students received their November Current Events packages which are due on November 29.  The rest of the class was spent working on these.
 

MATH 6B
Class began with multiplication conditioning.  We corrected the order of operations that was due today.  Students then broke into centres:
1.  Homework Book 7 - the first side of this is due for tomorrow.
2.  Order of operation practice on whiteboards.
3.  Order of operations games on the computers.

FRENCH 6B

Students handed in their L'halloween booklets.
Several assignments were returned.
Students were introduced to their "Present a Person" assignment.  Students will prepare a presentation of a classmate that introduces them, in French, to the class.  They must include the person's name, their age, where they live, how many people in their family and a list of things they like.  Students will have another class to work on this.
