We began our new unit on Patterns and Equations today.  Students are to be done questions 1 and 2 from page 8 of the textbook.

Latitude Quiz -   6B - Wed. November 28

6A Current events are due on Nov. 29; 6B Current events are due November 30

FRENCH HOMEWORK:
Les Jours booklet - the second page of the booklet is homework.  It is due December 3

ELA 6B

Personal Narratives were due today.  Students shared these with the class.  Well done, grade 6. Excellent introductions, conclusions and use of topic and closing sentences!!!  Sharing will continue tomorrow.

MATH 6B

Our new unit, "Patterns and Equations" was introduced to students.  The first lesson was on Input/Output machines.  Students filled in tables of values and practised communicating the input rule, output rule and pattern rule.  The following is a sample of what this looks like:

 

The following textbook assignment was given.  (ONLY 1 and 2 were assigned as homework)

Page 8 and 9 #1,2, 4, 6, 7 (use step by step)

SOCIAL 6A

November Current Events packages are due next class!  Students had 20 minutes to work on these.
We then wrapped up our study of latitude by writing a quiz and correcting the last page of our latitude booklet.  Longitude was briefly introduced before class ended.  This will continue next day.

Present a Person presentations were finished during today's class. 
We began our study of "Le Calendrier".  Students learned the days of the week.  The second page of the booklet is homework for Monday, December 3!
