Thursday, November 15

Today was report card day.  I look forward to meeting with parents next week to discuss students' progress.

ELA HOMEWORK:
Centres will be due on November 20
Personal Narratives have been assigned. We will be working on these next week.  Students should have a rough idea of what they will be writing about.

MATH HOMEWORK:
Homework Book Hand-in 8 and 9 is due tomorrow
There will be a math test on Nov. 20 (Multiples, Factors, Divisibility Rules, Prime and Composite Numbers, Order of Operations, Integers)


Social Homework:

All Wet - 6B is due is November 22
All Wet - 6A is due on November 21
6A Current events are due on Nov. 29; 6B Current events are due November

ELA 6B
Students worked on Day 3, Cycle 8 Centres. These centres will be due on November 20. If you were absent, today's centres have been pulled and attached to your homework package. As well students were told that they need to complete 2 comprehension journal activities for term 2.





HEALTH 6B
Students worked on the second page of our "Stepping Up to Good Decisions" Booklet.

SOCIAL 6A
1.  Stuents had 30 minutes to work on their current events package.
3. We continued to look at how Geography Shapes a Place. We watched a short video clip on Brazil and then discussed how Brazil's geography influences the lives of the people.  We also discussed the landforms of Brazil and looked at the similarities and differences between Saskatchewan and Brazil.



MATH 6B
NOTE: There will be a math test on November 20.  Students got a review today that they can start on if they'd like.
1.  Math conditioning started off the class.
2. The textbook assignment on integers was corrected.
3.  Studens were assigned Homework Book Hand in 8.  this is due tomorrow. 
4.  The rest of the class was spent on comparing integers.  Students determined which integers were greater than and less than and listed integers from least to greatest.  Students were assigned Homework Book Hand in 9.  This is due tomorrow!

FRENCH
Students worked on their "Present a Person" assignment.  We will have one more class to work on this.
