Grade 6 immunizations took place today which disrupted the morning classes a bit. Students were asked to catch up on anything that they missed during centre time.

This was our regular science class, but we had social instead. Students had 30 minutes to work on their current events packages. Most students are well on their way to completing these. The due date is Friday, October5. The second half of the class was spent brainstorming words we might use to describe a globe and discussing the similarities and differences between globes and the earth. We will continue this discussion on Monday.
MATH 6B
Students wrote their test on place value during this period. If you were absent you will write the test on Monday.
RTI
Teacher passes were issued to students that requested extra support. Computer passes went to students wanting to work on their mystery centre. The rest of the students used the time to work on current events packages or complete centre activities.
ELA 6B
We continued our study of "Tales" Students were assigned questions on the story, "The Lore of the Unicorn." These are due on Wednesday, October 4. Our new writing assignment, "Mythical Creature Research" was introduced to students. The assignment was explained and students chose their mythical creature.
