9:00 - 10:00- ELA 6
Students were introduced to the next ELA project. Poetry Slams (Spoken Word Poetry) will be prepared and presented to the class. Students had time to choose a poem that they would like to present. Students will be working on memorizing the poem and choosing a style in which they would like to present. Focus will be on facial expressions, hand gestures, body language, expression and enunciation.
10:00 - 11:00 -Math 6B
Exploring percent was the focus of math today. Students looked at the relationship between percent, ratio, fractions and decimals. What a great review! Students have a very short assignment which required them to fill in a chart of percents, decimals and fractions. This is due tomorrow. If you would like a headstart, you may begin working on the text assignment (Page 188 #-14 and 6-13)
Period Three -French 6B
Vocabulary associated with Ma Famille was studied today. Students are to complete the two assigned "ma famille" pages for Tuesday, June 12.
Period Four - ELA
This period was a continuation of period one. Students finished choosing their poems, typed them out and began their memory work.
