Tuesday, June 26 - Day 1

Wow!  It's hard to believe our year is almost over.  Only one more day!

We will clean lockers tomorrow, finish our poetry slam, complete the Ma Famille presentations and watch a memory video.  (an maybe even do some math and ELA)  If you have your math textbook or atlas at home, please make sure you bring it to school or caution fees will be applied.

Report cards may be picked up on Friday between 9:00 and 10:00.

Period One - French 6A (6B baked a special treat with Ms. Smart)

Students presented their "Ma Famille" projects.  We will finish these tomorrow.

Period Two - Math 6B

Students were introduced to "Exploring Triangles" during this period.  Students learned how to classify triangles based on the side lengths.  New terms introduced were equilateral triangle, isosceles triangle and scalene triangle.  Students watched a video, completed a Smartboard activity, did a "Triangle Sort" activity and were assigned a hand-in page.  The video and triangle sort activity are found below:

Period Three - French 6B

Students presented their "Ma Famille" projects.  We will finish these tomorrow.

Period Four - "Hodgepodge"

We did a few more "Ma Famille" projects during this period to ensure that we complete the presentations.  The remainder of the class was devoted to working on a Math Review Package.  A prize will be awarded to the student that completes the most pages of this package before tomorrow at noon.

Period Five - Poetry Slam

Students presented their poems during this period, while the rest of the students wrote down comments about the presentation.  We still have 14 poems to present, so this will be done tomorrow morning.
