9:00 - 11:00 - Centres
Today was an extended centres day. We got started a little late and activities took students a little longer to complete. Day 1 activities were completed. In guided reading, students listened to chapter 1 and 2 of The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe. Below is an overview of this week's centres.
Period Three - Writing 6B
We called this period our "hodgepodge" class. The following assignments were completed:

- Narrate Digital Photostory/Finish Digital Photostory
- Glee students - pick up complete centres you will miss on Friday, work on social research (finish male roles), complete comprehension questions for chapter 1 and 2 and read chapter 3 of The Lion, the Witch and the Wardrobe

We corrected the text assignment page 164 #1-9. Students HANDED IN THE STEP BY STEP. Students have grasped the concepts of Mixed Numbers and Improper Fraction quite easily!
We looked at the different methods for converting Mixed Numbers to Improper Fractions and Improper Fractions to Mixed Numbers. Questions #1-5 on page 168 were assigned for homework.
RTI - Students used RTI time to work on the math assignment that is due tomorrow, and catch up on the activities worked on in period 3.

Students worked on completing their research on shelter and began their research on male roles and tools. Shelter research is due for next class (Monday).
