Period One - ELA
Centre activities were due today. Unfortunately, students that had not completed their centre activities were not eligible for the "In Flanders Fields" draw.
While students were handing in centre activities, I read 2 chapters of our read aloud. "A Nose for Adventure"
We then proceeded to practse our "In Flanders Fields" poem that will be presented tomorrow at the Remembrance Day program.
Today was our special draw day. Student names were drawn and if they could recite the poem, they won a prize. Congratualtions to our winners:

Period Two - Math 6B
We continued our study of multiples today. We reviewed the concepts of multiples, common multiples and lowest common multiple. We watched a review video and then students had time to work on their textbook assignment. PAGE 56-58 31-7 ARE DUE TOMORROW.
Please work on your multiplication facts, grade 6. Math will be much easier if you know your facts.
Period Three - French 6A (6B had Phys. Ed)
Students worked on their "Present a Person" assignment. We will continue this next day.
Period Four - Social 6A (6A had Science - check Ms. Smart's blog for details)
Geography ABC's is due next social class, Novmeber 15.
We discussed the election results.
Finally we watched a Remembrance day video while students filled in a sheet on the message and symbolism of the video.
Period Five - Magazine Campaign Wrap-Up
Congratulations to all our winners and to everyone for selling magazines. Our school donated $5850 to the hospital and the amount was matched by Mosaic for a total of $11 700. WAY TO GO EHS.
