Period One - ELA

Hopes, Dreams and Challenges was due today. This was handed in for assessment.

Student worked on their personal narrative for the remainder of the class. We had a very successful class writing thoughtful, attention grabbing opening sentences. There will be several more classes to work on this.

Period Two - Reading Buddies/Read Aloud

Students read with their reading buddies. Then we started our read aloud, "Bridge to Terabithia."

Period Three - French

This was the last class to work on the "Present a Person" assignment. STUDENTS WILL BE PRESENTING ON THURSDAY, NOVEMBER 24.

Period Four - Math

We finished multiples today. It was very disappointing that so many students were not done their homework assignment. THIS HAS GONE HOME IN BACKPACKS!!!!! Please get it done over the weekend.

We started our study of prime and composite numbers and we had a look at factors. Students created "Smartie Arrays" to demonstrate all the factors of the numbers 2 to 20. We will continue this on Monday.

Period Five - Social

Students had time to work on their current events. Students were advised to take these home if they haven't got much accomplished. THIS IS DUE ON NOVEMBER 30.

We started our next unit, "Celebrating People and Places". We discussed the essential question of the unit, "How does our natural environment influence our lives" No homework

Have a nice weekend!!!!
